Bangaa

The Bangaa are large, reptilian lizards who walk upright and are capable of very acceptable and average intellect. They appear in Final Fantasy Tactics Advance and Final Fantasy XII (Both games taking place in the world of Ivalice) and live to be up to twice the age of an average Hume. There are four "sub-races" of bangaa, with the only known seperating factor being their skin color: Bangaa Sanga (ash color), Bangaa Ruga (yellow-brown color), Bangaa Faa (bronze color), and Bangaa Bista (red-brown color). Bangaa find it insulting to be reffered to as "lizards", due to their advanced and sophisticated lifestyles.

Bangaa, just like most reptiles, possess acute senses of smell and hearing, and are also quite agile despite their bulky appearance. Due to their physical nature, Bangaa are normally used as the "cronies" of armies or governments and because of their inferiority towards magic have been labeled as lower on the social scale than Humes and Viera.
